Message from the Chairman of the Board of JIA
Dear members of the JIA Business Association, partners, and friends,
On behalf of the Board, I extend my sincere gratitude to each of you for your years of collaboration, active involvement in the growth of our association, and your valuable contributions to the entrepreneurial community of Kyrgyzstan.
Today, JIA is entering a new phase of development. We face a need for transformation, shaped by the times, emerging challenges, and the maturity of the entrepreneurial ecosystem. Based on decisions of the Board and strategic consultations with our peers in the business community, we are announcing the completion of JIA’s mission as a multi-sectoral association uniting diverse industries and regions under a single umbrella brand.
We respectfully hand over these coordination functions to the sectoral and regional associations — those who are closer to the day-to-day realities of enterprises in specific industries and localities. Today, they are best positioned to represent the interests of businesses and provide more tailored solutions.
As such, JIA will no longer serve a coordinating or unifying role among other business associations in Kyrgyzstan. We believe the ecosystem has matured — and that is our shared achievement.
But this is not the end — it is a transition. JIA is not disappearing. JIA is transforming. We are stepping into a new role — as an international platform and a center for private sector development. Our future focus will be on:
- international partnerships and business diplomacy;
- educational and acceleration programs for entrepreneurs;
- promotion of sustainable development standards and ESG practices;
- support for export growth and improving Kyrgyzstan’s investment appeal.
We will continue to run mentorship programs and create opportunities for growth, exchange of experience, and development of competencies.
What this means for JIA members:
- You are encouraged to join industry-specific associations where you will receive more targeted support;
- We remain open to collaboration and are ready to be your reliable partner in new formats.
On behalf of the Board, I want to emphasize: JIA has always been a living, dynamic association. Not for the sake of a brand — but for the advancement of the private sector and entrepreneurial culture in our country.
We are proud that over the past 19 years, JIA has become a magnet for the most active entrepreneurs in Kyrgyzstan. And today, we are consciously passing the baton to other institutions — with confidence that the entrepreneurial community of Kyrgyzstan will continue to grow stronger.
